10 months ago we became a family.
Our girl has changed so much in that 10 months.
She is smart, funny and a bit of ham now. She has grown both physically and emotionally. She has blossomed into a happy little scoot.
Over the last 1-2 months, Maddy has begun looking a lot less baby and a lot more little girl. She is exerting herself more independently, trying to dress herself, potty and express her opinion. And boy, does she have them. While we don't always know exactly what she's trying to tell us, although it's becoming more clear everyday, it is with great gusto and emotion so we know we're getting an earful. As her language progresses I can only imagine the lectures Chris and I are going to get.
Food and eating wise, she's doing awesome. She prefers flavorful food and currently, everything from hotdogs to strawberries needs salsa. Not ketchup. Salsa. And the kid loves scallops. Pan-seared scallops, scallop tacos, you name it. We've come a far way from the only processed meat days.
But she still refers to herself as "Baby". As in 'Mama, Dada, Baby, home'. Which is fine by us. Because she is our baby. But that won't ever change- no matter how many months go by.
Happy 10 Baby!
