We are home! After 22 hours of travel, 3 airports and 1 frustrating customs wait, we are home! Overall, our girl was good on the trip- as good as a 2 year old can be on such a long trip where she doesn't have much room to play. However, the best part of the trip was coming out of customs and immigration- accompanied by our new US citizen- to where our friends and family were awaiting us. Complete with balloons, signs and lots of hugs members of our families and close friends in Minneapolis greeted us. We couldn't have asked for a better homecoming for our girl. We are excited to show her the pictures and video in years to come so she can know how many people were excited to welcome her home.
My friend, Wendy Nielson, who is a photographer (and ICU dietician on the side) came to make sure our homecoming was captured. For a sneak peak to her pics, check out her blog: http://balancingcakeandbread.blogspot.com/2012/10/homecoming.html
